Private Travel

Every organisation will have different rules on private travel and whether or not you can add additional days to your business trip as private travel days.  There may also be tax liabilities incurred when you add private travel onto a business trip.  The definitions you need to understand are: 

Private Leave: not a business day, e.g. annual leave, long service leave, days in lieu, non-working days for part-timers/casuals, public holidays, workplace shut down periods and weekends between private leave periods.

Private Travel: not required for business, e.g. private leave, holiday, change of location for personal reasons, no business undertakings.
