Trip Status

Trip statuses are used to signify the status of the trip during the complete lifecycle of the trip. The following is a summary of each status and what they mean:

Draft

A draft is a preliminary version of the trip that has been saved by the user. Drafts can be edited to allow them to be completed and submitted for approval.

Pending

Pending signifies the trip has been submitted for approval, however, it's not yet approved. Trips will remain pending until all approval steps are reviewed and approved.

Enquired

Enquired signifies where the high risk reviewer has requested additional information from the traveller (or travel arranger). Communication between the reviewer and traveller (or travel arranger) is recorded on the trip timeline.

Approved

A trip is approved when all steps within the approval workflow are completed. The time, date and approver is recorded on the trip timeline.

Declined

A declined trip is where an approver declines the approval request. Approvers are required to provide a reason why they have declined the trip. This information is sent to the traveller (or travel arranger) and recorded on the trip timeline. Travellers (and travel arrangers) can edit the declined trip and resubmit it for approval.

Confirmed

A confirmed trip signifies the traveller has confirmed the trip is taking place. By default, trip confirmation emails are sent to travellers two days (configurable) prior to departure.

Cancelled

A cancelled trip signifies the traveller (or travel arranger) has cancelled a trip and is no longer proceeding. Trips can be cancelled up to the final day of the scheduled trip.

Finalised

A finalised trip signifies the trip has been completed and all relevant tasks are finalised, including travel diaries (if required) and relevant expenses.
