Google Events

If you are a travel arranger and receive emails from travel agents, airlines, online travel agents etc. then you probably get flight and accommodation bookings mysteriously added to your calendar. The reason for this is Google Events. Google Events is a feature that scans your email for events, for example, a flight or hotel booking, and automatically adds them to your calendar.

If you don't want these events in your calendar, then you need to update your Google calendar settings as follows:

Open Google Calendar in your browser, then click the gear icon at top-right. Next, click the “Settings” option.

Scroll down to the Google Events settings (or click on the Google Events link in the menu)

Uncheck the 'show events automatically created by Gmail in my calendar' checkbox and your calendar will be free of automated Google Events.
